The Circular Sandflail offers the same versatility and durability as the original, with a new circular design that holds more weight at the same fill level. It also stands upright, feels even better in the hand for catches and presses, and sits comfortably in the rack position—especially in the Large size.
Micro-adjustable weight lets you progress in the smallest increments, from just 0.5 kg up to 28 kg for dynamic training, or up to 38 kg (Large) when fully loaded as a heavy sandbag. Fill it with sand, rubber, or rice to suit your training, and change the weight in seconds using the quick bungee cord closure.
Perform macebell, clubbell, kettlebell, rope flow, and countless other movements with the unique feel and stimulus that only a Sandflail provides.
Each Sandflail is handmade in Scotland from double layer military grade Cordura, with double stitched seams using military spec bonded nylon thread for outstanding strength, durability, and water resistance.
A Sandflail feels a lot heavier than a traditional mace, club or kettlebell due to the non structured handle so you can get a more effective workout at much lower weights. Making the experience much safer and increases the desired stimulus. So start lighter than you think you should.

Length Options:
Available in Long (same length as the original Sandflail) or Shorty (my personal favourite).
The Long length excels at extended mace-style swinging, while the Shorty offers a more hybrid feel—combining mace, club, and kettlebell-style movements in a compact format.
The Sandflail provides a stimulus unlike any other tool. Be aware: the shifting weight feels significantly heavier than the same weight in a traditional mace or club, so start lighter than expected and allow your muscles, tendons, and grip to adapt.
Sizes:
Small
A one-handed club/short mace style tool.
Perfect for mobility, flow, warm-ups, speed work, and shoulder health. Lightly loaded, it works like an Indian club; heavier, it becomes a challenging club or short mace.
Great for beginners, young athletes, and experienced practitioners alike. My personal daily-use tool—I typically load it between 2–6kg.
Medium
The most versatile all-rounder.
Ideal for beginners through advanced users, with the ability to train light or heavy depending on your goals. Excellent for mace, club, and hybrid kettlebell-style movements.
Shorty: comfortably swings up to around 14.5kg
Long: can swing around 16–17kg and can also be fully loaded for carries, squats, presses, and other sandbag work
Typical loading:
Light work: 2–4kg
Heavy work: 8–13.5kg
Optional cork grip stopper/pommel available.
Large
The ultimate Sandflail.
Designed for experienced users who want maximum challenge. It is excellent for circular training and heavy swinging, but start lighter and progress gradually—this size will seriously challenge your grip.
The dimensions also make it feel similar to a competition kettlebell in the rack position.
Typical loading:
Shorty: 10–18kg for heavier work (lighter loads also work brilliantly)
Long: can be loaded much heavier and used as a scaled strongman-style sandbag
Heavy swinging loads are only recommended for highly experienced practitioners.

What’s Included:
Each Sandflail includes:
1 × Sandflail of your chosen size
2 × Bungee cords to secure the load
2 × Heavy-duty rubber bands (one spare)
The circular design places more stress on the closure, so I recommend using both bungee cords for maximum security during training.
Recommended Fillings:
Sand is the most popular option (play sand works perfectly).
Other options:
Rice — lighter and great for beginners
Crumb rubber — excellent for speed work
Steel shot — extremely challenging and very heavy
You can also experiment with many other non-sharp fillings such as water bottles, gravel, dirt, or weighted balls.
Warranty
Includes a 2-year manufacturer warranty with sensible use.
Normal drops are fine, but repeated slamming or dragging on rough surfaces is not covered. Like any fabric-based training tool, excessive impact and abrasion will eventually cause wear.
Shipping
Orders are usually dispatched within 1–3 days.
I run this business myself, so please allow up to 3 days for your Sandflail to be shipped.
Returns
You have 14 days to notify me of goods you want to return. If faulty, a replacement can be sent out after investigation and photo/video evidence of the fault. If you have simply changed your mind customers outside the UK must pay for return shipping and label item ‘returned goods’. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in new and unused condition. Sandflail must never have been filled with sand or any other filling material to qualify for a return. Once a sandflail has been filled, it is no longer eligible for return under any circumstances. After evidence (proof of return postage) can be seen your refund will be issued. You will be refunded through your original payment method.
